Trees either side of a major viaduct in Kirkcaldy are to be cut back.

Work is to be carried out on Victoria Rad - if Fife Council approves its own planning application.

Councillors will be asked to sign off a request to remove a three metre strip either side of the historic viaduct on land north Of Nairn Street to allow inspection equipment to access the underside of the bridge.

The application will be considered in due course.

The viaduct was built by William D Sang.
