Councillors at Glenrothes Area Committee approved a proposal to give them parking permits.

They will cover the length of Victoria Road, meaning those who do not have a permit face enforcement action if they park there .

Cllr Altany Craik (Scottish Labour, Glenrothes West and Kinglassie) expressed fears over whether residents of further-out streets may now be affected.

He asked: "If we make this change do we expect not to solve this problem we've been having or will there be displacement into further streets?"
