Fife weather: Met Office issues yellow warning for thunderstorms
A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms covering the whole of Fife has been issued by the Met Office.
The warning, which comes into force from noon until 10pm tonight (Tuesday), covers parts of central and eastern Scotland, including the Kingdom.
Forecasters are warning that thunderstorms and heavy showers “may lead to some disruption this afternoon and evening”.
They say that there is “a small chance” homes and businesses could be flooded quickly and there could be some damage to buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
The conditions could cause difficult driving conditions on roads with spray and sudden flooding and there is a chance of delays and cancellations to public transport including train and bus services.
