Donald J Trump took the Oath of Office for the Presidency of the United States on January 20th, 2017. As of noon on Wednesday, he will relinquish his office when President-Elect Joe Biden is inaugurated. Donald does not plan to attend the ceremony.
Here we take a look back at some of his more, ahem, memorable moments.
9. Twitter's Over
The suspended Twitter account of U.S. President Donald Trump appears on a laptop screen on January 08, 2021. Citing the risk of further incitement of violence following an attempted insurrection on Wednesday, Twitter permanently suspended President Donald Trump’s account. Shopify took down online stores affiliated with the president, while Amazon removed Trump’s channel. YouTube announced that it was also temporarily banning the US President. CEO Mark Zuckerberg suspended Mr Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts after the riots, through to Inauguration Day and possibly indefinitely.
Snapchat has locked the US President’s account indefinitely. It has also ceased to promote his content. Live streaming website Twitch has also disabled Mr Trump's account. Photo: Justin Sullivan
10. Women's March in New York City, U.S.
Here Trump did get huge numbers. In the largest ever single day protest, over 5 million people marched against President Trump and his anti-women statements and policies. The pink 'pussy' hat became a symbol of opposition. Photo: Ira L. Black - Corbis
11. Did you mean Quattro Formagi?
Attorney for the President, Rudy Giuliani speaks to the media at a press conference held in the not at all odd location of the back parking lot of Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The press conference took place just minutes after news networks announced that Joe Biden had won the presidency over Donald Trump after it was projected that he had won the state of Pennsylvania. Guiliani claimed voter fraud and a Trump victory. Photo: Chris McGrath
12. Do you still believe?
President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump talk to children as they track Santa Claus's movements with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Santa Tracker on Christmas Eve at the White House. This is what the President said to one young caller "“Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at 7, it’s marginal, right?”" Photo: Chip Somodevilla
