Raith Rovers' Dougie Imrie reveals important fitness update concerning on loan Rangers kid Calum Adamson
Boosters on the injury front have been rare for Raith Rovers this season, but boss Dougie Imrie gave a positive update regarding on loan Rangers kid Calum Adamson when speaking to the Fife Free Press after training at Stark’s Park on Tuesday.
Imrie, who was without 19-year-old Adamson (calf), John Robertson (abductor tear), Anton Dowds (ankle), Charlie Telfer (hamstring) Lewis Vaughan (knee) and Zak Delaney (knee) for last Saturday’s 2-0 home William Hill Championship loss to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, can at least rely on the Ibrox kid to be ready for this Saturday’s league fixture at Arbroath.

“We’ll definitely have Calum Adamson back,” Imrie told the Fife Free Press. “He'll be available 100%.
“He’s been a massive loss. Everything about his game is great. For such a young kid his awareness of where he is on the pitch, his passing ability, his range of passing, his aggressiveness. And his all round game, he can cover the ground so quickly going both ways.

"For how composed he is on and off the ball, he’s been a miss for us so we’ll be delighted to have him back on Saturday at Arbroath.
"He was back at Rangers getting treatment. I thank them obviously for taking care of him and getting him back to a good physical condition.
"He trained on Tuesday fine and he’ll be good to go again.”
Imrie also provided updates on his other crocked stars, adding: "Anton has trained on Monday and Tuesday and that’s the only two sessions he’s done. Whether he’s available for Saturday we’ll just need to wait and see but certainly he’s back on track.

"Hopefully we can certainly have Anton for next week.
"Charlie Telfer is running but not going to make it and we thought Vaughany (Lewis Vaughan) would be back this week but unfortunately it might be another week.
"Obviously Dylan is long term, Robbo’s getting there but still getting a bit of pain so we need to probably reassess it and see where we are.
"Zak’s picked up an issue with his knee as well and that’s why he was on the bench against Inverness.
"He went for a scan on Monday and he’ll just need to wait to see a specialist now. Yout get one or two back and another one pops out.
"It’s a real blow because Zak has been one of the outstanding players this season in terms of performances and he’s settled in really well since he came into the club as well.
"So I think for the team it’s a blow but we have a really good experienced player (Lewis Stevenson) who has played a lot of games who has also got frustrated at not getting game time because of how well Zak’s done.
"We just need to get to the bottom of Zak’s issue as quick as we can and hopefully get Zak back as quick as we can.
"It’s not been ideal. Obviously I’ve been pulling my hair out because you are asking the same players the last month to keep going and push through the pain barrier, people are picking up niggles when they’ve been playing.
"Tiff (Scott Tiffoney) is playing with a cast in his hand which was broken for a couple of weeks, it’s still trying to heal.
"So again, are we really getting the best of Tiff because he’s protecting his hand?
"There’s a lot going on at the moment which from my aspect is very frustrating.”
