slick saints to the four
St Andrews United...............4
St Andrews United travelled to Albyn Park last Saturday to play Broxburn Athletic on their plastic pitch in a league match.
Broxburn had won their last three league matches, and their only defeat in their last seven matches was a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bo’ness United.

But United played some terrific football on the ground, and despite having to play the last 30 minutes with ten men, the margin of victory could have been greater.
Manager Ian Barrett had a selection headache with experienced players Sam Buchan, Paddy Deane, Danny Dobie, Sean Murdoch and Ricky Patrick all injured.
Barrett was forced to play five teenagers from the start, with onlyGavin Wilson and a trialist on the bench fit.

Hide AdUnited had the perfect start when they scored after three minutes when Barry Sibanda collected the ball just outside the Broxburn box, turned and hit an absolute beauty into the top corner.
The second goal was only delayed to the 40th minute when Kieran Sturrock beat two defenders and rounded Maley, before netting.
On the stroke of half time Sibanda scored goal number three with a trade mark free kick.
United were reduced to 10 men after 62 minutes when Kevin McMullan was yellow carded twice in as many minutes by referee Gary Farmer.
