St Andrews United faced a trip to the Lothians and Newtown Park to play league leaders Bo’ness United.

Manager Ian Barrett had a selection headache with Sam Buchan, Ryan McInnes and Sean Murdoch on holiday.

Kevin McMullan served the first of his two match suspension.

New signing Jamie McNeish made his debut, with GavinWilson, Danny Dobie and Ricky Patrick all back in the team.

Bo’ness scored when Robert Sloan floated in a free kick and Stuart Hunter headed past keeper GavinWilson from a few yards.

A few minutes later Jack Simpson intercepted a slack

pass by Jamie McNeish in midfield.

Simpson released Marty Wright, who fired a low shot into the net for goal number two.

The home team were now rampant and Stuart Hunter scored his second.

Saints reduced the leeway after 33 minutes when Paddy Deane beat a defender and curled a shot past keeper

Scott Christie.

At the start of the second half Fraser Keast scored two quick goals.

The first

was a shot that went in off the far post.

The second after 54 minutes was from a few yards after Gavin Wilson failed to hold a shot from Marty Wright.

Bo’ness remained in control of the match, but were unable to add to theirgoals tally and ran out comfortable 5-1 victors.
