A spokesman for Lochore Meadows said: “If you're heading out to try the trails for the first time, please take care. As with any new trail, the surfaces will still be bedding in and riders should take time to become familiar with the different lines, features and trail conditions before increasing speed.

“Ride within your ability, wear appropriate safety gear, and be mindful of other trail users.

“We still have further work to do over the coming weeks enhancing the existing trail network in the park along with further remedial work to tidy up and resurface sections on the Avenue and Harran Hill to make it more accessible for walkers and cyclist.

“We will also be planning a more official opening celebration in the coming weeks.”

He added: “A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the development of the new trails. We hope they provide many years of enjoyment for riders of all ages and abilities, and we look forward to feedback from those who ride them.”
