Introducing … Les Hall Productions
Leslie Town Hall continues to grow as a performance venue
The Board of Directors of the Leslie Town Hall (LTH) have unveiled the latest stage in its growth as a developing performance venue, centre for the arts and local community resource - the establishment of ‘Les Hall Productions’. In addition to its partnership with the Leslie Amateur Dramatic Club (LADC), it’s envisaged that Les Hall Productions will expand the range of local theatrical events with the proceeds increasing the opportunities for local people to become involved in the performing arts and contributing towards the upkeep of LTH.

Mark White, Director of LTH explained, “We have a wonderful and very successful partnership with the Leslie Amateur Drama Club and we thought that we may be able to expand our repertoire at LTH by inviting other Fife-based amateur actors in addition to LADC members, to take part in our own in-house productions. These will complement LADC’s work and increase out output over the year. This has led to the creation of Les Hall Productions, and I’m delighted to say that two fabulous shows are currently under rehearsal”.
“The first of these is ‘Jeffery Bernard is Unwell’, a personal favourite of mine. It’s a play by Keith Waterhouse of ‘Billy Liar’ fame, about the real-life journalist Jeffery Bernard. He wrote a column in The Spectator magazine called ‘Low Life’, When he was too drunk or hung-over to produce the required copy, the magazine would just print ‘Jeffery Bernard is unwell! It is being presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. on 21st and 22nd August 2026”.

“The second is ‘The Little Shop of Horrors’ which is a sci-fi horror, comic, rock musical. It’s loosely based on a 1960 film of the same name. In 1986 the musical version was made into a film directed by Frank Oz of puppeteer Muppets fame! It’s being performed by arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe) on 23rd to 26th September 2026”
Tickets for both productions are already available from the Leslie Town Hall box office either in person or on 07912 602764, or from www.ticketsource.com/leslietownhall where a Booking Fee will apply.
