Coronavirus: Fife hospitals to screen patients for virus
Patients attending Fife’s two main hospitals are to be screened for symptoms of coronavirus.
The tests will apply to anyone attending urgent outpatient appointments at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy and Queen Margaret in Dunfermline.

Hide AdVisitors will have their temperature taken and asked a series of questions in a bid to halt the spread of the virus into the community.
NHS Fife has urged people with appointments to arrive in time to allow the tests to take place.
The organisation’s board is also due to hold its monthly meeting today .
Members will hold a conference call, with papers and agendas posted on line for the public to study.

Hide AdThe media, which normally attends the meetings, has not be included in the call.
In response to the issue being raised by the Press, Tricia Marwick, who chairs the board, said: “We are focused on ensuring that Fife Health Board members carry out their primary and statutory duties in holding the executive Directors to account.
“The board papers we will discuss are a matter of public record and are published on the NHS Fife website, as will the minutes of this meeting.
“I am clear that the board cannot have open public meetings at this time to comply with the social distancing requirements.
“As we go forward we will discuss and explore what technology could be best applied to assist the media in ‘listening in’ to future meetings.”
