COVID vaccine roll out opens to next age groups in Fife

COVID vaccines for Fifers in the 55-59 age group begin on Monday.

NHS Fife is also beginning its roll out for the 50-54 age group from the following week.

As the latest phase gets underway, health bosses have also paid tribute to everyone involved in the mass programme.

And they urged Fifers to make sure they kept their appointments.

Scott Garden, director of pharmacy and Medicines at NHS Fife commented: “We continue to make good progress to vaccinate those most at risk of COVID-19 in and we’re delighted to be moving onto vaccinating those aged 50 and over in the next few weeks ahead of schedule.”
