It's all going pink in Kirkcaldy
This week, after an absence since Covid, the return of the Ranch Dance Pink Party plans to raise more funds for Breast Cancer Now, Wear it Pink appeal for October.
Organised by the Ranch Dance Fife line dance volunteers, the annual fundraising Pink Party was a regular feature before lockdown, so this year as the group celebrates thirty years of dance in Kirkcaldy it was felt it was due for a return. x8g3qyt
Choreographer and dance instructor Lorraine Brown said, ‘All proceeds go direct to Breast Cancer Now charity and for non-line dancers there will be plenty to enjoy like dance instruction, raffle, Irish bingo and plenty of pink”.
Lorraine has been involved with breast cancer charities for over 20 years and has been invited in the past to tour the research unit in Edinburgh, as well as meet Prince Charles at Holyrood. Lorraine’s family and friends have been touched by Breast Cancer, and this had made her passionate in raising funds, as she has witnessed first-hand the support available to women and men. At previous events support from elected members complimented the donations from local businesses, some of whom provide a raffle prize to be drawn on the night.

Extending a welcome to all ages, dancers and non-dancers, Lorraine said ‘everyone is welcome where you can pay at the door with just £6 entry’.
Pink Party 2025 at Pathhead Parish Church Hall, Harriet Street Kirkcaldy, October 10, 7-10pm.
