A Fife beachfront pub has been named one of the UK's Bucket List Beer Gardens for 2026, according to new research.

Travel site, Locals Insider, has ranked the Ship Inn in Elie, sixth in its annual list of the UK's most exceptional outdoor drinking experiences – one of two Scottish entries in the top ten, alongside The Old Forge in Inverie, which ranked third overall.

The pub's beer garden sits directly above the beach at Elie Harbour, looking out across the Firth of Forth.

Locals Insider cited its setting as one of Scotland's most rewarding seaside pub experiences, combining easy accessibility from Edinburgh and St Andrews with a genuinely spectacular waterfront location that comes into its own on long summer evenings.
