Scotties B&B bake sale fit for a Hero

Helaine Scott, husband Bryan and friend Sandra Robb have baked themselves into a fundraising storm for a fourth and final year.

“We bake, bake, bake,” said Helaine. “This is the last time we will run the event so we are giving it a big push to raise as much money as we can for the charity.”

The popular event attracts a great response to the house, at 15 Bennochy Road, which will be open from 1pm to 5pm, with tea and coffee available. There will be plenty of delicious treats on offer from traybakes, to sweets, to fruitl oaves with all the proceeds being donated to Help For Heroes.

A raffle will also take place supported by prizes given generously from local businesses.

Supermarkets in the area have also helped the bakers by donating eggs and other supplies, free of charge.

Helaine also tours the local doctors surgeries with leftover treats following the sale, to boost the final charity donation.
