The company, which is based in Leven, will be collaborating on the movie with Bo’ness based production company GAW Films.
DP Productions is owned by the co-writer and producer of the film, David Penman, who after helping to write the script several years ago is now bringing it to the silver screen as he feels that the time is right.

Hide AdDavid has worked in the film industry for six years and has worked on various feature-length movies and documentaries.
In 2017, he wrote, produced, and directed his own short film called ‘Devil You Know’ which was screened at various film festivals.
David said: “RAGE is a short film that will highlight and raise awareness about the connection between drug and alcohol abuse and domestic violence.
"I co-wrote the script with Gary Wales from GAW Films a few years ago, and now with everything going on in the world we thought that now would be the right time to make the movie – Gary and I are both producing the film, with Gary directing as well as starring in it.”

Hide AdDavid said cast and crew are ready to start shooting, but production can’t start until they raise enough funds to make it possible.
"We need to raise £1000 before we can start filming,” he added. “The money will be used to hire equipment, pay the crew and to provide travel.
"The film will be about 12 minutes long, and we’re also going to be making a 30 minute behind the scenes film which will show how we put it all together.
"Even though Gary and I co-wrote the script, it was originally Gary’s idea and as I had seen a lot about domestic violence being linked to drug and alcohol misuse in the media I jumped at the chance to be part of the film.

"With everyone being in lockdown there has been more and more reports of substance abuse which can be directly linked to domestic violence.”
