A92: safety checks on barriers set to get underway

Safety checks are set to be carried out on the A92, starting this weekend.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking the overnight work between Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes from Sunday, running until Friday, October 30.

The work is required to understand the current condition of a section of the road safety barriers at the Blackwood Road Overbridge between Redhouse Roundabout, and Bankhead Roundabout.

To ensure the safety of road workers and motorists, it will be undertaken overnight only with one lane closed in both directions between 7.30pm and 6.30am on each night shift. A 50mph speed restriction will also be in place.
