Raith Rovers condemn 'so-called' fans after racist graffiti is daubed at Firhill Stadium

Raith Rovers have vowed to identify the ‘so-called fans’ who caused outrage by daubing racist graffiti on broken seats and a toilet at Partick Thistle’s Firhill Stadium, which hosted Sunday’s 4-1 KDM Evolution Trophy final win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Images posted on social media outlined the extent of the vandalism, with racial slurs directed against Manpreet Singh, who has been identified as a leader of the Partick Thistle Ultras.

Rovers posted online: “We are aware of images circulating on social media showing damage caused inside the Wyre Stadium at Firhill by so-called Raith Rovers supporters within our allocation on Sunday.

"We are appalled by this behaviour and condemn it in the strongest possible terms.

"We will be speaking with Partick Thistle and the SPFL tomorrow to investigate and identify those involved.”

William Hill Championship outfit Raith won the final 4-1 against their League One opponents thanks to doubles by Innes Cameron and Dylan Easton.
