Raith Rovers defender reveals his intention to get involved in managerial roles again one day

Raith Rovers defender Paul Hanlon says he’s keen to coach or manage one day, but he remains keen to give everything in a Rovers shirt in the immediate future.

Hanlon, 36, who made this week’s Scottish Cup first round draw at Hampden, said: "It was a bit frustrating missing the opening part of the season but I'm feeling great now. We're getting wins and getting points on the board. It's a good start but it's a long, hard season in the Championship.

"Everyone fancies themselves no matter where you're going, no matter who's coming to your stadium.

"I'm trying to prepare as best as possible for what comes next. Obviously I've got a degree and some coaching licences, a bit of experience and then I briefly did the manager role at Raith.

"At the same time, I don't want to wish the time away. I still feel fit and strong and able to play every week. As long as that's the case, I'll be desperate to keep going."
