First ever LinksFest for St Andrews
St Andrews Links is teeing up for the first ever LinksFest – a free community open day.
The inaugural event will take place on Sunday, September 20 from 10am to 2pm at the Balgove Course and St Andrews Links Golf
Academy, and has been created as a fun, family-friendly community day, offering a wide range of activities designed to welcome people of all ages to the Home of Golf.
Open to everyone and free to attend, the event will feature golf activities, family entertainment, live music, arts and crafts, food and drink vendors, bouncy castles and much more.

Visitors can also enjoy food and refreshments from local favourites including Screaming Peacock, Bumblebean Coffee, Scooply Ice Cream and the Eden Clubhouse, alongside live performances from Rock Choir, Dylan Syme, Me for Queen, David Latto, Callum Gibson, James Liandu and more.
While most activities are available on a drop-in basis, a limited number of bookable experiences are available in advance, including group golf lessons, individual Paragolfer lessons and a guided woodland walk led by the West Sands Rangers.
All activities are offered free of charge.
Christine Randall-Klee, Community Engagement Lead at St Andrews Links, said: “LinksFest is all about opening our doors to the local community and creating a fun, welcoming day for everyone to enjoy.
“We want people to experience everything that makes St Andrews Links special, whether that’s giving golf a try for the first time, learning about the work of our teams at the Trust, or enjoying fun activities with family and friends.
“We’re proud of the work we do within our local community throughout the year, and LinksFest is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate those
connections while welcoming new faces to the Home of Golf.”
LinksFest will take place at the Balgove Course and St Andrews Links Golf Academy, located just off the A91/Old Guardbridge Road, KY16 9SF.
Free parking will be available on-site, bicycle facilities provided and additional overflow public parking nearby.
