Working with the Indy Cinema Group to produce the three day drive-in event, the Kinross-based charity has recognised an engaging way to keep its stargazing, astronomy and aviation education in the frame by presenting a low risk way of showing movies during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A special version of Capcom Go! The Apollo Story from NSC Creative will be shown at every screening which take place from Friday, December 4, to Sunday, December 6.

Fans of Christmas favourites will not be disappointed with an early 4pm showing of Polar Express (Friday), The Muppet Christmas Carol (Saturday) and Elf (Sunday), a 6pm showing of Frozen II (Friday), Home Alone (Saturday) and Last Christmas (Sunday) with a later showing at 9.30pm of Love Actually (Friday), Die Hard (Saturday) and Greatest Showman (Sunday).

Alisdair Stewart, CEO of ASSET said: “We have been working on this movie event to bring something really special to the area for Christmas that will, hopefully, give families a great night out in a Covid secure and friendly environment.

“We also want to keep our efforts to bring aerospace, aviation and astronomy education to young people across Scotland front of mind.

“Cosmos - who normally tour Scotland with their mobile planetarium to promote aerospace and astronomy to inspire young people – see this as a good way to continue to engage their audience during the pandemic and beyond.
