New look Fife Fest returns for 2026

Fife Fest is making a return to Leven this weekend with a new look for 2026.

The annual event at Silverburn Park is now under new ownership, the Ure bothers David and Andrew took over from Fife Fest founder Jordan Black last year, just before Andrew’s tragic death on Hogmanay.

An emotional tribute was paid to him at sister event Falkirk Fest in July.

David said he and Andrew knew Fife Fest well which played a big part in them taking it over.

“My brother Andrew and I had worked the bar at the festival every year starting in 2022 for Jordan.

“We had a conversation with him last year to take over the event in its entirety, because we have been running music events in the Falkirk area since 2019.

“We set up a very similar event called Falkirk Fest - we didn't go too out there with the name! - and we were setting up Clyde Fest too. So Fife Fest was a natural addition to that duo.”

David said the festival now has a more streamlined look, with all the acts such as Just Beatles, Kasabian’t and Simply Robbie all appearing one day.

“It's been a two-day event up until now, but we've changed it to one day this year,” he said.

“It had principally been a tribute acts festival but then Jordan changed it over the last couple of years to include some local bands, but we've changed it slightly for this year.

“We've upped the number of tribute acts from four to six. We have a covers band opening, then it's straight into the tribute bands, but in the early part of the day there will also be a busker's stage showcasing local talent. And there's also a silent disco which is included in the cost.

“The ticket and the bar prices will also be the same as last year. We've actually kept the bar prices the same for the last three years.”

Another change is that attendees can bring in their own food.

David said: “We've found that it doesn't really make that much of a difference to the food trucks' takings. What tends to happen is that people will come in earlier, bring a picnic and make a day of it. No liquids are allowed though, but food and snacks are absolutely fine.”

The Festival's branding also has a new look, keeping in line with David's other two events.

“We have a solid group of people who come to Fife Fest each year and they seem to love it. It's become a bit of a staple in the Leven calendar and the park is great.

“The setting works really well and it makes for a real intimate event.”
