Fife wedding venue supports couples who were due to get married
Patrick and Nicola Gilmour, who own popular wedding and events venue, Pratis Barns, near Leven, felt that it was wrong to have couples planning the happiest day of their lives at such a worrying time, knowing that friends and family may miss out.
Patrick said: “We feel a duty of care for our guests who have entrusted us with their special days.

“We wrote to all the couples to offer a change of date free of charge and the response has been wonderful. They are all hugely relieved and delighted to be offered other options.”
One couple whose wedding is just five weeks away is thrilled to be able to reschedule and still retain Patrick’s award-winning catering for the new date.
Their guests included people from overseas and many over 70s, so they are delighted with the proactive and thoughtful approach from Pratis Barns. The bride wrote: “Thank you so much for the letter and your understanding and flexibility at this time. It doesn’t sound like insurance will cover this pandemic which is a big concern.”

Patrick and Nicola bought Pratis Barns last year and have already established a very busy weddings business.
