First glimpse at revamped gym at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre – and invite to open day
The wraps come off a revamped gym at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre this weekend.
It will re-open at 1:00pm on Saturday (November, 7) following a major refurbishment programme by operator Fife Sports and Leisure Trust.
The new-look gym has a premium feel and includes industry-leading Life Fitness, Hammer Strength and Indigo gym equipment, enhanced strength and functional training zones, bespoke squat racks, specialist flooring, new lighting and aesthetic improvements.
Its launch will be followed by an open day on Saturday, November 21 from 8:00am to 2:00pm will feature a live DJ, gym challenges, and the chance to win prizes. Admission to the open day will be free of charge for both members and non-members - but non-members will need to book HERE. The event is open to people aged 16 and over.

Paul Burke, the trust’s commercial and business development manager, said: “The look-and-feel is similar to the high specification gyms previously installed by us at our venues in Glenrothes and Cowdenbeath.
“The Kirkcaldy gym now features all new equipment and offers more ways to train. There’s also an improved layout to maximise capacity and reduce bottlenecks. We hope customers enjoy the new-look gym. We thank them for their patience and support when the gym was closed and when work was being carried out.”
He added: “As a charity, the trust reinvests the income it receives from members back into the facilities we operate. Significant investment like this is made possible thanks to the support of local people. We’re sure people will love using the new-look gym.”
