Kirkcaldy pub honoured at Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards
A Kirkcaldy pub has been recognised at a Scottish awards ceremony.
Montagues, in the High Street, was one of a handful of Fife businesses honoured at the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards, held recently in Glasgow. The evening featured a live set from JLS and an appearance from the Cheeky Girls.
Montagues was highly recommended for ‘best pub in the east.’ The accolade came on top of success at the Best Bar None Awards, and being named regional finalist for best licensed premises at this year’s Scotlands Business Awards.
Also highly recommended were The Ball Room, Dunfermline, for ‘best beer selection’ and Dhoom Indian Streatery for best Indian restaurant.

Warren Paul, awards director, said: “This is a special event every year but I am incredibly proud of our team and how they have stepped everything up this time. We wanted to put together an event that truly matched the levels of service, standards of offerings and the hard work our finalists and winners put in every single day.
“I love these awards because they bring together so many different elements of life in Scotland for all of us, from cosy pubs to luxurious venues, roof spaces to sports bars, takeaways, restaurants, even the best place to take your dog.
“They really reflect and focus on the things all of us want to do in regular life – so they represent a great guide to the best places to spend your hard-earned cash right now.
He added: “Warren said: “The standard of entries this year is astonishing and judges had a terribly difficult task. It’s very hard right now in hospitality as we all know, but it makes us all proud to see how the industry has responded – by stepping up levels across the board and being even better.”
