Gyms across Fife are set to re-open

More than 1000 Fifers booked their visits to centres run by Fife Sports & Leisure Trust within 48 hours of the online booking system going live.

Unlike the first lockdown, which saw the trust operate a phased re-opening programme, it will open doors at all facilities on the same date.

Only the Beacon Centre in Burntisland will miss out as work to address issues related to COVID health and safety measures continue.

Emma Walker, chief executive, said: “Our staff and facilities are ready and we are very much looking forward to welcoming customers back.”

Private gyms are also gearing up for a busy day.
