Catriona Morrison and Marc Prowe, ministers of Kirkcaldy Linktown Church, have set up a prayer place featuring a rainbow cross inside the church grounds in Nicol Street.

Rev Morrison said: “In Linktown we have set up a prayer place. It's a rainbow cross just inside the church grounds in Nicol Street and it's open to anyone.

“There is a pile of stones, if anyone wants to write a name or word and lay one as a prayer for someone. There's also a postbox for prayers which we will check regularly, for anyone who wants to write more and we will pray these prayers and keep them confidential.

“Or people are free to come into the church grounds, as long as no-one else is there, and sit for a moment if they are out for a walk. It is very important to follow the restrictions and abide by the guidelines we're given.”

She said that many churches have moved online and are live streaming or providing recordings of services. She said these are on the church websites but new Facebook pages have also been set up for town churches.

Rev Morrison continued: “One is Pray 4 Kirkcaldy and the other is Kirkcaldy Town Centre Churches and these have daily 'thoughts for the day' and other prayers, exchanges and information. It's also a good place to go if anyone is wanting some prayerful support.
