Engineering works to affect Fife trains on Sunday

Buses will replace trains on Sunday due to engineering work between Edinburgh and Inverkeithing.

Passengers have been warned to check before travelling in order to avoid the worst of the disruption which will take place on Sunday, March 15.

The work will affect the majority of services running between the capital and the Kingdom.

ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Aberdeen or Inverness will be diverted via Stirling and will not call at Inverkeithing or Leuchars, with trains re-timed and potentially running earlier or later than usual.

Buses will also replace services between Edinburgh and Dundee and Edinburgh and Glenrothes with Thornton, while a minibus will replace services between North Queensferry and Dalmeny.

LNER services between Edinburgh and Aberdeen will be diverted and will not call at Inverkeithing, Kirkcaldy or Leuchars with a bus replacement service in operation.

Buses will also replace CrossCountry services between Edinburgh and Dundee.
