Former Scotland ace Robert Snodgrass rates how Dougie Imrie is doing as Raith Rovers boss
Former Scotland international midfielder Robert Snodgrass has praised ex-playing opponent Dougie Imrie for the fine job he is doing at Raith Rovers.
In an exclusive interview, Snodgrass, 39, who retired from professional football in 2024, lauded 43-year-old Imrie for his exploits in steering Rovers to third place in the William Hill Championship on 21 points from 11 fixtures, only trailing leaders Stenhousemuir (on 23 points from 10 matches) and second-placed Partick Thistle (22 points from 11 games).

Ex-Livingston, Leeds United, Norwich City, Hull City, West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion, Luton Town and Hearts ace Snodgrass said: "I feel like Dougie's been around the sort of lower leagues, and I think if there's anyone for me that's going to try and push, it'll be Dougie.
"He’s a really good manager, he had a tough time I think towards the back end at Morton, and then obviously he had his family situation. But he’s a real top lad, and I think if there's anybody that's going to do, it’s him.

"What I loved about Dougie is that he played on the edge. I think he's taken that into his squad and that's a no nonsense approach. He's direct in trying to push forward and score goals.
"He had no fear in the way you should be playing, on the edge and trying to push your team-mates, push forward and be lippy.
"I probably played through that sort of little generation, and it is great to see him doing so well as a manager."
