Kennedy has signed a new deal with the SPFL Premiership leaders, and will spend the remainder of the season playing for the Rovers in the SPFL Championship.

He said he was “delighted” with his move to Kirkcaldy.

"I just can’t wait to get going,” he said. “we had a good first training session.

"The football they play here is suited to my style so that was one of my reasons for joining.

"Hopefully we can get a few wins and push on for promotion.”

He added: "I’ve played with Ethan Ross for Scotland and I already know a few of the boys so it should be good.

"I’m always up for a challenge so I’m ready to fight for my place and hopefully I can earn that and keep it.”
