Alhambra unveils winter season programme

The Alhambra Theatre, Fife’s biggest independent theatre and music venue, has unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2026 programme.

This season’s music line-up is one of the busiest and most diverse the Alhambra has put together to date, opening with The Draymin’s sold-out hometown reunion show on October 3.

Justin Hayward, the voice of the Moody Blues, follows on October 17, bringing his solo tour to Dunfermline, before Keith Duffy of Boyzone and Brian McFadden of Westlife join forces on November 11 for Boyzlife’s sold-out night of boyband classics.

Late November kicks off the peak of the music season, with six huge shows landing in the space of just over a week. Chart-topping Scottish indie-rock band The Snuts bring their ‘Joy in Short Moments’ tour to the venue on November 23, followed the next night by Ocean Colour Scene, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their ‘Moseley Shoals’ album with a sold-out show on November 24.

Irish country music start Nathan Carter returns to the Alhambra on November 26, before Glasgow folk-pop favourites Tide Lines celebrate ten years together on Friday 27.

Singer-songwriter Callum Beattie brings his biggest Scottish tour to date to the Alhambra the very next night, Saturday, November 27, fresh from the largest headline show of his career at Edinburgh Castle.

The run finishes on December 1 with a sold-out night from Scotland’s most well-loved twins, The Proclaimers, performing their catalogue of timeless hits.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers round out the year’s music programme with an end-of-year show on December 30, closing out 2026 with their trademark ‘bag-rock’.

Theatre takes centre stage from October 29-31, with Tony Roper’s beloved Scottish classic, ‘The Steamie’. Set in a Glasgow washhouse on Hogmanay in the late 1950s, ‘The Steamie’ is one of Scotland’s most celebrated theatrical productions; a warm, funny and deeply human play that celebrates friendship, working-class resilience and the rituals of a bygone era.

Dunfermline-based theatre group Limelight Productions also return to the Alhambra stage this season with their production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’. Running from October 7-10, the high-energy musical builds upon the long-lasting relationship between the Alhambra and Limelight, collaborating to celebrate local theatrical talent.

Comedy is well-represented too. Nurse-turned-comedian Georgie Carroll brings her brand-new show, ‘Infectious’, to the Alhambra on October 4, followed by Gary Meikle’s return to the venue on November 14.

Fan favourite Jason Byrne closes out the comedy run on November 20, celebrating three decades in stand-up with his new show, ‘30 Years Byrning’.

Dance lovers are catered for too, with Crown Ballet’s new staging of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece, ‘Swan Lake’, coming to the Alhambra stage on September 27.

On November 2, ‘The Legends in Vegas: After Hours’ brings five Strictly dance legends together for a spectacular new show that captures all the glitz, glamour, and excitement of Las Vegas.

There’s plenty of entertainment for the kids too, starting with the return of Olivier-award-winning show ‘Dinosaur World Live’, bringing life-like dinosaurs to the Alhambra stage for two shows on October 14, complete with a dinosaur meet-and-greet.

‘Artie’s Singing Kettle’ also returns twice this season: first with a spooktacular, sing-along Halloween show on October 25, and again on New Year’s Eve to ring in the new year with the whole family at his Hogmanay Party.

The centrepiece of the Alhambra’s winter programme, however, is Fife’s biggest pantomime, produced in-house by the Alhambra Theatre Trust.

‘The Further Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook’ sets sail from 8-29 December, promising a festive season of laughter, fun and panto magic.

The production is set to be the Alhambra’s biggest and best pantomime yet, featuring an all-star cast, including returning favourites Ian ‘Sheepie’ Smith and Gary Morrison following their partnership in last year’s Snow White,

and theatrical special effects brought in from London’s theatre stages.

“We are proud to be such an integral part of so many Fife families’ Christmas traditions,” a spokesperson for the venue said.

“We strive every year to make our pantomime bigger and better for our audiences. Come and see panto as it should be done!”

The season also marks a significant step forward for the venue behind the scenes, with the launch of a new, more user-friendly website, alongside a bespoke, interactive in-theatre app exclusively for Alhambra audiences, which give patrons tailored information on a show-to-show basis.

The app will also be used for the theatre’s new order-to-seat system, allowing customers to skip the queues and get their drinks and snacks delivered straight to their seat.

The spokesperson added: “We are always looking for ways to improve the experience of our customers. Our new digital platforms will make it quicker and easier than ever to find information about your favourite shows, book tickets and order refreshments, meaning there’s more time to relax and enjoy your show.”
