Lang Toun Fest what’s on: free classic car show tops busy weekend programme

Kirkcaldy town centre is set to host its second classic car show - and it is completely free to attend.

The pedestrianised zone of the High Street will be given over to a host of vintage vehicles on Saturday.

The event is being organised by the Adam Smith Global Foundation, and is part of the Lang Toun Fest programme which runs throughout this month.

The cars will be parked and on show from midday until 3:00pm. Anyone wanting to take part as an exhibitor can get more details HERE.

It’s a rare opportunity to see cars from yesteryear that you don’t see every day and also chat with some of the owners. For a younger generation, it is an opportunity to see the cars their parents or grandparents drove, and for older generations it is a great opportunity to reminisce about the cars they once drove.

The classic car show is one of the highlights of this weekend Lang Toun Fest.

Saturday’s schedule starts with an outdoor morning Yogic stretch and meditation in the walled garden at the Adam Smith Heritage Centre, just off the High Street. Booking details are HERE

Kirkcaldy’s historic Old Kirk is open to the public with visits up its tower, while at Waterstones bookshop there is a storytime with Ross Mackay from midday to 1:00pm.

Kirkcaldy Galleries is hosting a fluid art for mindfulness event at 1:00pm - bookings HERE. On Sunday, the Kings Theatre hosts a summer solstice holistic fare from midday to 4:00pm - more info HERE

Sunday also features a guided heritage walk to Pathhead by Kirkcaldy Civic Society, while Fife Electronic Society has a concert at the Salvation Army headquarters in Hayfield Road.
