A Ukulele Extravaganza

Local ukulele groups to entertain with concert

Fife's very own Uke That and Fife Ukulele Orchestra are coming together for a night of musical entertainment and fun hosted by Whytes Causeway Baptist Church to support the church's fundraising efforts.

Both groups have performed individually, supporting local charities and organisations which in the past have included Seescape, RNLI Fundraising Branch, Anstruther Harbour Festival, Kinghorn Community Centre and Shiresmill Riding for the Disabled. They are now teaming up to showcase what can be achieved on this small and underestimated instrument.

There will be no George Formby and no leaning on lampposts, but instead a mix of pop and rock classics and some singalong favourites - think David Bowie, U2 and Elbow, through to Depeche Mode and Bronski Beat, delivered on a small but perfectly formed 4 stringed instrument!  All of which promises to be a great night of music.
