Golfers tee off in Kinross to raise funds for CHAS
Golf day organised by housebuilder raises funds for CHAS.
Sixty-four golfers took to the course at Kinross Golf Club on Thursday, July 3 for a charity golf day in aid of Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), organised by housebuilder Persimmon Homes.

CHAS provides vital care and support for children with life-shortening conditions and their families, offering palliative care, respite and family support at its hospices and in homes and hospitals across Scotland. Fundraising events like this play an important role in ensuring the charity's services can continue to reach the families who need them.
The day brought together 16 teams of four, made up of Persimmon Homes staff, customers, and suppliers, who made their way round the course in support of the charity, raising £11,000 for CHAS.

To help fuel the players mid-round, volunteers from charity the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) set up at the 12th tee, serving fresh burger meals to each team as they came through and adding to the friendly atmosphere of the day.
Ryan Patterson, RRT Kirkcaldy Local Team Leader, said: “It was a pleasure to support Persimmon Homes and everyone taking part in raising funds for CHAS. The care that CHAS provides to children and families across Scotland is remarkable, and it was encouraging to see so many teams out on the course backing that work.”
“We were glad to play a small part in the day, keeping the players well fed as they passed the 12th tee, and we hope the funds raised make a real difference to the families CHAS supports.”

The Rapid Relief Team (RRT), which is made up of volunteers from the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, puts compassion into action by offering practical support to charities, emergency services and community organisations across the UK. With over a decade of experience providing catering and welfare support, the charity regularly assists at fundraising events, helping those raising money for good causes feel supported throughout the day.
