Fife Opera prepare to round off 50th year celebrations with their latest production
Members of Fife Opera are working on the finishing touches for their latest production, which concludes the company’s 50th year celebrations.
Having marked the milestone earlier in the year with a series of successful concerts, Fife Opera is preparing to end the year with Fran Stafford’s hilarious production of Orpheus in the Underworld using Buck Ross’ score and translation.

This is not a Romeo and Juliet story. The characters portray a relationship turned sour then consequently exploited by powerful narcissists – in this case Gods willing to do anything to exploit poor Eurydice.
There are however lots of laughs to be had in this journey including the glorious can can.
The company are now bringing everything together in their final rehearsals in the lead up to the production, which will be staged at the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy on Friday, November 6 (7.15pm) and Saturday, November 7 (2.15pm).
Tickets can be purchased from the theatre by emailing [email protected] or calling 01592 583302.
