The Canadian company, which serves coffee, doughnuts and other fast food items, has submitted plans to Fife Council for a 24-hour drive-thru coffee shop at Fife Leisure Park in Dunfermline.

If approved, the company would transform a former Chiquito restaurant, and could create between 35-40 jobs.

It would be Tim Hortons’ second Fife branch - it already has one at Hospital Hill in Dunfermline.

The plans propose the creation of a new pedestrian crossing at the entrance as well as a footpath on the south-eastern boundary to the Adventure Golf Island site.

The development would mean the reconfiguration of existing car parking from 56 spaces to 48 .
