A man who admitted driving dangerously at excessive speed in Kirkcaldy has been ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid work and disqualified from driving.

Bruce Millar, of Tiree Place, Kirkcaldy appeared before Sheriff James Williamson at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

Millar, 24 admitted that on November 6 last year on Bennochy Avenue and Linton Lane in Kirkcaldy he drove a car dangerously and did at Bennochy Avenue fail to stop having been directed to do so by a marked police vehicle which displayed blue flashing lights and sounded its klaxons. He admitted driving at excessive speed, failing to give way at a junction and overtaking another vehicle at excessive speed and at Linton Lane he drove off the road onto grass. He committed the offence while on bail.

Sheriff Williamson ordered him to carry out a Community Payback Order and placed him under supervision for 18 months. He sentenced him to do 150 hours unpaid work and disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
