"We have multiple outfits for people to wear, but most are small or medium. If folk want to come along wearing plain green army – not camouflage - trousers, that would help us out.

“We’ve had a lot of women getting in touch to take part but frustratingly we didn’t have costumes, which would have a vintage 1940s French village look.

Robbie says there are a few surprises in store when the final film is completed and released.

He said: "We’ve got a few big names already in cameo roles, and we’re hopeful that there will be a well-known face at the final shoot, but again it’s all top secret."

Robbie added: “At a shoot in Dunfermline, we came across some old ladies. We were worried that it may have scared them, but they loved it. They were laughing at a Nazi ninja jumping about.”

The final shoot, which will be on Saturday, 31 July, will be a big deal for Robbie.

He said: “It’s going to be a great weight off my shoulders, but at the same time it's going to be really sad that the group that we’ve amassed over the years – our ‘film-fam’ - is going to be saying a sad goodbye.

"However, with all the costumes and props that we’ve amassed and new people and places, and vehicles, a sequel or prequel is inevitable.

"I’d like to thank all the local businesses that have helped sponsor us.

"Our local branch of Lidl has been helpful, Four-Eyed Dimensions has been making loads of props. And Andersons cafe has been helping feed the troops.”

The location of the final shoot will be revealed closer to the date of filming. If you want to take part, message www.facebook.com/dickdynamiteofficial
