He said: “We need people to come along and help. They’ll be cheering on a fight and betting on it.

"We have multiple outfits for people to wear, but most are small or medium. If folk want to come along wearing plain green army – not camouflage - trousers, that would help us out.

“We’ve had a lot of women getting in touch to take part but frustratingly we didn’t have costumes, which would have a vintage 1940s French village look.

He said: "We’ve got a few big names already in cameo roles, and we’re hopeful that there will be a well-known face at the final shoot, but again it’s all top secret."

Robbie added: “At a shoot in Dunfermline, we came across some old ladies. We were worried that it may have scared them, but they loved it. They were laughing at a Nazi ninja jumping about.”

The final shoot, which will be on Saturday, 31 July, will be a big deal for Robbie.

"However, with all the costumes and props that we’ve amassed and new people and places, and vehicles, a sequel or prequel is inevitable.

"I’d like to thank all the local businesses that have helped sponsor us.

"Our local branch of Lidl has been helpful, Four-Eyed Dimensions has been making loads of props. And Andersons cafe has been helping feed the troops.”
