Fife Flyers add Scottish netminder to roster for new season

Fife Flyers have added a Scottish-born netminder to its new-look roster.

Jordan McLaughlin has signed ahead of the 2026/27 Elite Ice Hockey League season.

The Falkirk-born 26-year old goalie moves to Kirkcaldy after spending the past four seasons with NIHL team, Hull Seahawks.

He cut his teeth in the junior set up at Edinburgh before joining Solway Sharks in 2018. He also logged 17 games over two separate seasons in call-ups to Glasgow Clan.

McLaughlin is the fourth new home-based player signed by head coach, Tim Wallace.

He has already signed new defenceman Ben Solder from Guildford, and Reece Kelly and Kyle Watson from Sheffied, while Ethan Hadden is back for a second season with his home town club.

Wallace said “Jordan is a player I’ve competed against many times over the years, so I’ve seen first-hand what he can bring. He has good size, covers a lot of net, and gives himself a chance to make saves through his presence and positioning.”

“This is a great opportunity for Jordan to test himself at a higher level and see how far he can take his game.”
